Full course description
This course helps you to demonstrate that you have maths skills equivalent to GCSE grade 4. The course has twenty sections and each section is assessed via a quiz. You must score at least 3 out of 5 to pass the quiz in each section. To pass the course you must pass all twenty quizzes. There are learning resources, videos and practise problems in each section to help you.
Multi-Factor Authentication - IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ
As part of the registration process, you will be asked to set up multi-factor authentication to access the course. This will come after you have set up a password and registered for the course. This process works best if you have two devices, as you will be presented with a QR code to scan. If you are only using one device (such as a mobile phone), you will not be able to scan the QR code. In this case, select and copy the 'Secret key' that appears beneath the QR code.
The following instructions work for the Microsoft Authenticator, and should be similar for other authentication apps:
- Open the authenticator app
- Select the '+' at the top of the screen to add a new account
- Select 'Other account (Google, Facebook, etc.)'
- Select 'Enter code manually'
- Choose an account name (e.g., Gmail_Canvas)
- Enter the secret key details
- Select 'Finish'
- Copy the code from the Authenticator app and add paste this into the 'Verification code:' box above
- Select 'Verify'
